Bay Microsystems’ technology has been embraced and adopted by government customers for mission-critical secure broadband networks because of its ultra high performance, its inherent security and it any to any protocol internetworking.  In recent years the US Government has become the leading early adopter of high-end networking technology worldwide, and continues to push toward higher performance applications.  Bay is pleased to participate in advancing the state-of-the-art with its government customers.

Bay provides solutions in the form of subsystems and systems to its government, prime contractor and subcontractor customers in response to their requirements.  In recent years Bay has partnered with large equipment suppliers, such as Network Equipment Technologies (Fremont, CA) to provide systems for wide deployment in government networks and data centers for aggregating, switching, routing and transporting high speed voice, video and data traffic.

Recently Bay has been developing systems that unleash InfiniBand across large distances.  InfiniBand had previous been widely used within data centers to interconnect supercomputer clusters and large storage arrays, but Bay’s technology is enabling InfiniBand’s performance, low latency and scalability to be extended into wide area networks.  This empowers a range of applications including grid computing, storage backup and synchronization, disaster recovery and visualization to be expanded to higher levels of performance and utility.  Bay is setting InfiniBand free!
