Overview
Bay Microsystems' ABEx 2020 Multiservice Transport Gateway is designed for service provider, enterprise and private networks,
providing secure interworking for a wide array of protocols and services. The ABEx 2020 is built around Bay Microsystems'
own fully programmable 10 Gbps Network Processor with integrated traffic management offering line rate performance and
rich functionality in a compact, low-power, carrier-grade platform.
The ABEx 2020 is purpose-built to provide high performance provisioning of most common layer 2 and layer 3 services, including
Internet Protocol (IP), Ethernet, InfiniBand, and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM). ABEx delivers these services at line rates
up to 10 Gbps across a broad range of Optical Transport Networks (OTN) and Packet Switched Networks (PSN) including IP/MPLS,
Ethernet, ATM, and SONET/SDH. This makes Bay's ABEx ideal for bridging compute and storage traffic across Wide and Metro Area
Networks without interruption.

ABEx 2020 platform supports multiple protocols including IP/MPLS, Ethernet, ATM, and InfiniBand. The system supports pluggable and configurable interfaces including:- 1 x 4X InfiniBand SDR + 2 x 1GE
- 1 x SONET / ATM OC-192 / 10G Ethernet (LAN/WAN) + 2 x OC-3
- 4 x SONET/ATM OC-48 + 2 x OC-3
